Topic:         Cal Hubbard’s life (native of Keytesville) as a 3 sport Hall of Fame recipient (For College Football & Pro Baseball & Pro Football) presented by his son Bill Hubbard.

2.     What:      3rd  Quarterly Meeting

When:       Sunday, 20 July 2008 at 2:00 PM

Where:       Chariton County Historical Society Museum

Topic:         Mr. Scott Porter from the Army Staff College at Fort Leavenworth is coming to speak about the struggle for Northwest Missouri during the Civil War. This talk will be about the second oldest Confederate movement west of the Mississippi River. This event had many people you may remember reading about, such as Jessie James, Colonel James R Jenison & Samuel Curtis.

3.     What:      4th  Quarterly Meeting

When:       Sunday, 19 October 2008 at 2:00 PM

Where:       Chariton County Historical Society Museum

Topic:         Ms. Mary Ellen McVicker of Boonville will be speaking about memories of Missouri’s George Caleb Bingham and his students. George Caleb Bingham was a pioneer painter whose paintings often depicted life in the early days of Missouri.
