Hutchinson Tool Room

An abundance of hand tools and implements will be found in this room.  A collection of horse bits, an unusual barb wire collection, scythes, Indian arrowheads and stone tools, butter churns of all sizes and shapes, washboards are all on display.  Did you ever wonder how the telephone operators could remember whom she connected to whom?  See the switchboards from Prairie Hill and Forest Green complete with all the wires to make the connections.  Open the doors of the chicken incubator used in Fellows Hatchery which used to operate from this building.  The salt kettle used by the sons of Daniel Boone and the lard rendering kettle from the county poor farm can be compared.
